Precision logistics and expert guidance for a seamless container arrival
At Supreme Shipping Containers, we navigate the unique logistical challenges of Western Canada—from tight urban lots in Edmonton to remote industrial sites—to ensure your unit lands exactly where you need it. While we handle the heavy lifting, a little preparation ensures a smooth delivery and the long-term health of your container, leaving you confident and informed from arrival to set-down.
Our specialized tilt-deck trucks require significant straight-line clearance to slide the container off the back. For a 20ft container, we generally need about 60ft of straight-line clearance. For a 40ft unit, we require roughly 100ft.
While you don’t need a concrete pad, your site must be level. If a container sits on uneven ground, the frame can twist slightly, making the doors difficult to open and close.
We often recommend placing pressure-treated wood blocks, railroad ties, or a simple gravel pad under the container at its four corners. This keeps the unit level and provides critical airflow underneath to prevent moisture buildup.

Navigating the unique landscape of Alberta and Western Canada
Delivering a multi-ton steel structure requires more than just a truck; it requires an understanding of the Western Canadian environment.
From the tight urban corridors of Edmonton and Calgary to the remote access roads of Northern Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, our delivery network is built to handle the geographic realities of the Canadian landscape:
We don’t stop when the temperature drops. Our drivers are experienced in navigating frozen terrain and winter site conditions, ensuring your project stays on schedule regardless of the season
Whether you are located on a family farm, a remote job site, or a mountain property, we coordinate with specialized equipment operators who understand how to handle soft ground and gravel approaches
We assist in the planning of city-center drops, helping you navigate the spacing constraints of alleyways, parking lots, and commercial compounds with minimal disruption to your neighbours or traffic
Because we are based in Edmonton, we have a vested interest in the success of your delivery. We aren’t a faceless logistics broker; we are your local partners who know the roads and the requirements of our region
No! While we offer professional delivery via our trusted specialized partners, you are under no obligation to use them. You are welcome to arrange your own transportation!
Absolutely! We have the equipment on-site to load your trailer or chassis. Just ensure your equipment is rated for the weight and size of the container you purchase.
Delivery costs vary based on your distance from our Edmonton hub and the size of the unit. We provide transparent, all-in quotes so you know the exact cost before the truck leaves our yard.
Our trucks are heavy. The delivery path and final site should be firm, level ground, ideally gravel, asphalt, or dry, hard-packed dirt, to ensure safe maneuvering.
In most cases, we can have your unit on-site within 3 to 7 business days of finalizing your order. However, if you have an urgent requirement or a specific project deadline, let us know!
We often have the flexibility to accommodate priority drops depending on our current truck schedules in your area.
This is a crucial detail! Because our trucks slide the container off the back, the doors will either face toward the truck cab (offloading last) or toward the rear of the trailer (offloading first).
When you book your delivery, we will ask which direction you want the doors to face so our team can load the container correctly at our yard before the truck arrives.
A shipping container is a significant investment. Whether you’re unsure about your driveway clearance or need advice on the best foundation, our local team provides honest, straightforward advice.
